What are you most passionate about?
I love seeing people grow. It makes my heart so happy seeing others constantly learning more about themselves internally rather than externally. I believe that we need to work from the inside out to heal the heart first, rather than the body. The rest will follow when we learn to find our inner peace.
Why did you choose to work in the health industry?
I have come from a world of treating my body terribly and abusing it mentally, physically and emotionally. For me, it was finding how to shift those feelings towards something positive such as Yoga, meditation, and movement to help the body feel amazing and balanced. To be able to share this knowledge with others is why I do what I do.
What has been the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?
My mind. The mind is the most powerful (and challenging) part of our physical body. Even to the age of 35 I was battling thoughts of Self Abuse, not good enough, not strong enough, not smart enough, not pretty enough, not rich enough etc that would challenge and test me everyday. To overcome this I had to redirect my thoughts and change patterns and habits to recognise these thoughts and change them around. With practice and patience, each day it gets easier and now rather than talk myself down, I talk myself up and believe that I can do anything I put my mind to.
If you could give one word of advice, what would it be?
Less is more.
What is the most inspiring quote you have heard?
Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions as they become your habits, watch your habits, for they become your character. Watch your character for that becomes your destiny.
Do you have an ethos you live by?
Find the love in every situation you are faced with.
If you could invite any three people over for dinner (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
My mum, because I love her to bits. Dave Grohl (all of the reasons) Joe Dispenzar (his information and knowledge on the brain is fascinating)
