What are you most passionate about?
Living a life of harmony, where we are one with the ocean, earth and others around us. For me this comes from my love and passion for family, friendship, yoga, meditation, time in nature and adventure. I truly feel Redhead Wellness Sanctuary is a place where this passion is alive and there is a strong sense of community and connection.
Why did you choose to work in the health industry?
The practice of yoga and meditation has brought me a greater connection to self, to those around me and a feeling of health and happiness. Through the experiences I have gained in my practices, it was a natural progression for me to enter into the health industry, and to be able to share these insights with others as well as continue on my own journey of self-discovery.
What has been the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?
Throughout my life and currently, my greatest challenge has been finding balance and self-preservation. There have been times in my life where I have studied, worked and driven myself so hard that my health has been compromised and it’s an easy pattern to fall back into. I continue to seek a life of balance and harmony, reminding myself to relax, listen and nurture.
If you could give one word of advice, what would it be?
Compassion. To have compassion for yourself and all beings.
What is the most inspiring quote you have heard?
“Just like the lotus we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness and radiate into the world” – unknown.
Do you have an ethos you live by?
To live with positivity and trust everything will ultimately work out as it should.
If you could invite any three people over for dinner (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
Thich Nhat Hanh for his wisdom and peaceful presence, I would love to meet him. Sri K Pattabhi Jois or Sri TKV Desikachar for an insight into the history of modern yoga and an interesting discussion. My Oma (grandma) as she was a strong and inspiring woman who I would have loved to get to know more.
