Bec Lawless

What are you most passionate about?

My work – it is a lot more than a job to me – I love seeing people from all backgrounds, all fitness levels, coming together to challenge themselves and to have a break from the daily grind. And my family – I live a simple life and don’t need a lot of material things, just being near the ones I live most (my kids Tyson and Jake and partner Tim) makes everyday the best it can be 😊

Why did you decide to work in the Health Industry?

I was always involved in sports and loved being active in general – is there anything better than being able to work doing what you love? And seeing people get stronger, fitter, happier (the mental health benefits from exercising regularly are massive!) is just awesome!

What has been the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?

Learning to be a good mum – going through some very hard periods as a single Mum and keeping going for the sake of my two little boys, then trying to teach them kindness, resilience, patience and more – some days feel almost impossible but I think I slowly get better at it 😊

If you could give one word of advice what would it be?

You are capable of achieving anything you truly put your mind to, and also of overcoming any obstacles that are put in your way – you just have to believe in yourself!!

What is the most inspiring quote you have heard?

“The devil whispers to the warrior you cannot withstand the storm – the warrior whispers back I am the storm”

Do you have an ethos you live by?

Be kind, always

If you could invite any three people over for dinner (dead or alive) who would it be and why?

Keane Reeves (I am sure all of the women get this one), my grandma who passed 12 years ago (just to chat with her one more time…) and Snoop Dogg (he has lead an extremely interesting and inspiring life)
