Alannah Moore

What are you most passionate about?

Health and fitness!

Sport has always been such a major part of my life since I can remember. I’ve always been taught to eat healthy and look after my health and overall wellness, something I am very grateful for!

Why did you choose to work in the health industry?

My passion for health and fitness combined with my sporting dedications throughout my life are the root of my decision to work within the health industry. As health and fitness has always been a priority of mine I wanted to broaden my knowledge and skills. I hold my Cert II & IV in Fitness, recently completed my Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science and I’m currently undergoing my Masters degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology!

I hope to use my newly acquired knowledge and experiences to increase others motivations and passion to positively effect their lives, using health and fitness as a vehicle.

What has been the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?

I’m lucky to have not had any major challenges in life, something I am deeply grateful for…

However the biggest challenge I have faced so far is also one of my greatest accomplishments! Recently my partner and I bought an old house and spent most weekends and afternoons overcoming many hurdles in the journey to renovating and creating our first home!

If you could give one word of advice, what would it be?

Always be yourself, after all no one can do it better than you!

What is the most inspiring quote you have heard?

Live as if you were to die tomorrow and learn as if you were to live forever – Ghandi

I also just love these;

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind – Dr. Seuss

and

Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you! – Dr. Seuss

Do you have an ethos you live by?

I believe that everything truly happens for a reason…

Also, I try to remember what my mum always tells me in unfortunate/negative situations; “If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it”

If you could invite any three people over for dinner (dead or alive), who would it be and why?

David Attenborough – I think he is incredible, he has dedicated his entire life to his passion and has changed the world for the better! He would have some amazing stories & I’d love to sit and listen to them all!

Dr. Seuss – His unique outlook on life and ability to ideas into words intrigues me. I always loved his books as a child and still do now!

My Mums Pop – She always tells me stories about how he was such an incredible man and how close they were! I’d really love to meet him myself.
