Firstly, lets define what alignment is – Alignment is the correct positioning of the body in yoga postures to help obtain the maximum benefits of the posture, to align energy and to avoid injury.
When the body is in correct alignment the energy flows freely and with fluidity. Holly will show you how to use all props to support your body and help you find your alignment.
When you give more attention to the alignment of your body it can help direct awareness and energy away from the ego and into your body thus deepening your yoga practice.
Of course, alignment is not the sole purpose of yoga so we
will be discovering other aspects of yoga such as quality of the breath in all of the postures we explore.
