Do you struggle with keeping a happy gut? Most of us do so I wanted to share my simple routine to hack your digestion.
Wake up – roll out of bed, head to the kitchen and squeeze half a lemon in cup of warm water with apple cider vinegar. This can help relieve symptoms of acid reflux by introducing more acid into the digestive tract to prevent acid backflow. This drink will also send friendly bacteria to your gut to assist in absorbing your nutrients and increased immunity.
Morning and night – Take 25 ml of aloe vera juice morning and night. Aloe vera juice helps digestion, normalises acid/alkaline pH balance, lessens yeast formation, encourages digestive bacteria and creates regularity in your bowels.
Throughout the day sip on herbal tea of dandelion root, mint or ginger tea to stimulate your digestive system and help to relive constipation.
Before bed have slippery elm, not everyones favourite but it does wonders. The high fibre content will help to soothe and coat the digestive tract, drink this just before bed away from meals. Add 1 teaspoon to 50-100ml water.
